WINEMAKING COMMENTS
In 2006, perfect conditions allowed us to make the red we’ve always wanted - a “Bordeaux Blend” of our best parcels of fruit. In this lovely balanced wine matured in new and two year old French and American Oak barrels, the strength and body of Cabernet Sauvignon (50%) is complemented by the ripe fruit and subtlety of Merlot (30%) and Petit Verdot (20%)
COLOUR
Deep Ruby red in colour with a slight fading on the edges
AROMA
Lifted, ripe, touch of VA, plenty of plummy, sweet red and black berry aromas.
FLAVOURSoft, balanced and integrated. Showing sweet plum and berry fruit flavours, elegant with integrated tannins. Nice finish, with slight dusty tannin. A few years in the bottle has matured it well.
CELLARING
Cellar another four or so years.
FOOD
Serve with Osso bucco Milanese and Polenta
